Asko|Schönberg & K[h]AOS

Staging & choreography: Boukje Schweigmann

All these pieces play with light, time and space: Adams’ The Light Within, an ode to Turrell’s light art; the work of Tenney, which uses minimal shifts in sound to take listeners on a journey; and Hout (Wood) by Andriessen, a work that elevates composed deceleration into an art form. Theatre maker Boukje Schweigmann goes even further and lets Asko|Schönberg & K[ h]AOS move throughout the space. This allows them to play with listeners’ visual and auditory perceptions, precisely as the sun is setting on the horizon.
