BACH WITH A SPLASH OF BIBER
Let’s be honest: Bach wrote a lot of really serious music – after all, those were serious times! – but when they did have a party, he was happy to deliver some appropriate tunes like Brandenburg Concerto No. 3. Such virtuosity can safely be left in the hands of The Netherlands Bach Society, one of the early music world’s top collectives. Richard Egarr performs as the soloist in Bach’s tintillating Concerto in D minor, and a Battaglia by Biber will ensure you start the day with energy!
