THE KÖLN CONCERT It was a spontaneous piano session in 1975 and Keith Jarrett tossed aside all musical boundaries. The concert in Cologne, recorded live, revealed the unmatched virtuosity and emotional depth of a musician at the top of his skill. Nowadays this recording still holds a global cult status as a timeless exploration of musical expression, a pinnacle of improvisatory brilliance, a unique ability to capture emotions in sound. Ralph van Raat couldn’t resist: he will try to touch the untouchable in a complete transcription of The Köln Concert, including the occasional stomp.

What do the different stages entail?

Is there kids’ programming?
Yes, on every festival day there is a program for kids, check out our Kids page for more information. And: entrance is free for children and youth up to 18 years! They do need an entrance ticket, which you can order through the ticketshop.
