Wonderfeel Festival Orchestra & Aiden Mikdad
BEETHOVEN & SCHUBERT
Welcome to Wonderfeel! Schubert’s themes dance happily on Het Veld, with the sun shining through them. The Fifth Symphony was born in just a little over half a year, after young Schubert had attended a concert where he was completely mesmerised by ‘the magical notes in Mozart’s music’. At that concert there was also some Beethoven, and for his exciting Second Piano Concerto, the Wonderfeel Festival Orchestra is joined by Aidan Mikdad, who graduated with flying colours from the Royal Academy of Music in London just last year. Lastly, we’ll hear Noëmi Schermann’s premiere, the first of no less than 10 premieres to celebrate Wonderfeel’s 10th birthday.
